Introduction

Gizmo is a game for two players in which each player has a set of figures, called "gizmos", that they can move around the board. The goal of the game is to capture all of the opponent's gizmos, or to block the opponent's gizmos so that they can't move. The game is played on a square board with a number of squares in each row and column. Each player has a set of gizmos, each of which can be moved one square at a time. Gizmos can move in any direction, but they can only move one square at a time. If a gizmo is blocked by another gizmo, it can't move. The game can be won in two ways: either by capturing all of the opponent's gizmos, or by blocking the opponent's gizmos so that they can't move. If neither player has won after all of the gizmos have been placed on the board, the game is a draw.

Setup

To set up the game, each player takes a set of gizmos and places them on the board. The gizmos can be placed anywhere on the board, but they must all start on the same square.

Playing the game

Players take turns moving one of their gizmos. A gizmo can be moved one square in any direction, but it can't move through other gizmos. If a gizmo is blocked by another gizmo, it can't move. The goal of the game is to capture all of the opponent's gizmos, or to block the opponent's gizmos so that they can't move.
