French and indian war
The French and Indian War was a conflict in North America in which Great Britain fought against France, Spain, and their Native American allies. It lasted from 1754 to 1763 and was the first of four North American wars fought between the British and French. The war began in the Ohio River Valley but quickly spread to other parts of North America.
The conflict began when the British and French colonies in North America began to expand into the Ohio River Valley, a region that was claimed by both countries. The British colonies were located to the east of the Appalachian Mountains, while the French colonies were located to the west of the mountains. As the British and French colonies expanded westward, they came into conflict with each other over the Ohio River Valley.
